So, I left Sarah as she headed off from Liverpool back down to London for a few days of GEP meetings and along with CI KTN’s genius events coordinator Anita Onwuegbuzie and the TSB’s Jeremy Silver headed over to Belfast, for a repeat of our TSB Convergence Feasibility Study fund briefing on Tuesday 16th.
The event was hosted by the University of Ulster in their York Street campus and followed much the same format as in Liverpool. I played the genial host (at least I hope so) and Jeremy gave a full briefing on behalf of the TSB. Jana Wedekind of IN2 talked about her experience of being a succesful TSB fundee and we rounded up the morning with a lively panel discussion about the whole area of web data and analytics. I chaired the panel (though barely) and Jeremy was joined by John Farren of 360 Production, Greg Maguire of inlifesize, Alan Hook of University of Ulster’s Interactive Media Arts dept and Gawain Morrison of Filmtrip TV.
Many thanks to everyone who took part – and to everyone who came down – in the event it was a pretty packed house.
I’m very much looking forward to the final event in the series at London’s Wallacespace next week, when we’ll be joined by Evan Stein of Decibel (a CIKTN regular supporter!), Alan Payne of Deep Visuals, Neil Mortensen of Thinkbox TV and Ted Littledale from Secondsync. If you haven’t signed up already and would like to come down, I gather there are just 8 spaces left as I write, so get in there!
